SWIFT SILENCER SUPPLY FOR A STOR PLANT
APROVIS supplied the silencers for a STOR plant in the north of England with ten engines that had an output of 2 MWel each within a very short space of time. STOR (short-term operating reserve) plants are mostly low-noise plants where a great deal of importance is attached to reducing noise emissions. STOR plants are used to compensate for short-term fluctuations in the electricity grid.
The result
In addition to lower emissions, APROVIS won the customer over here with a particularly fast delivery time. So the plant was set up and put into operation in a flash.
Our made-to-measure solution
APROVIS provided the STOR plant with a universal acoustic concept. So ten combined models made up of reflective and absorption silencers cover the low, medium and high frequency ranges. Sound level reduction to the required target sound value was achieved.
The advantages of this project
The project requirements meant we delivered the silencers to northern England in less than eight weeks. So APROVIS did its bit to ensure stability in the British grid and power supply security.
